I’m a 65 year old ex-Air Force weather equipment maintainer/installer/research technician/model builder/flyer who has been fascinated with things in the sky since the age of six. I think I began to analyze what I was seeing sometime in the 1950’s when, for the first time, the realization began to sink in that I couldn’t identify a small percentage of what my friends and I were observing. Since then my life has been somewhat interesting with more than a few strange experiences, mostly while accompanied. I have a technical background grounded in electronics, physics and meteorology with hobby interests in astronomy, photography and model building/flying. I have personal experience with airborne phenomena including dew drops on spider webs, backlit flying insects, strange cloud formations, ball and other lightning phenomena, various government balloons and flairs both in daylight and at night. I suppose I should admit to have launched a few lighted objects of my own many years ago as jokes so I have some experience with the ignorance and gullibility of the general public regarding unexplained phenomena. I put off joining your organization for various reasons over the years, probably because of the stigma attached to being associated with the lunatic fringe and the ridiculously sensational and obviously phony media efforts while a member of the military.

Hello my name is Frank I am 22 years old and am from Connecticut. I started taking flying lessons when I was 13 and have been interested in flight and space for as long as I can remember. I fall into the category of people who "want" to believe in Extraterrestrial visitation of Earth. I believe that statistically life outside of Earth is a sure thing, and I have certainly witnessed UFO's in the sense that they were objects that I could not identify but were probably man made. I think that if there are visitations of our planet and the inhabitants don't yet wish to communicate with us, maybe we can convince them otherwise!

Hello!
My name is Mike, and I live in Augusta, ME.
As a teen back in the 60's, I had a very keen interest in UFO's, and read many books on the subject. But somewhere along the way, I became much less active in my reading. I'm now trying to pick up where I left off!
I served in the Air Force for 10 years, 5 of which was as a radar/weapons control technician on F-106's, and the last 5 as a B-52H gunner. I then served another 10 years in the Maine Army guard as an air traffic controller, retiring in 1996. So, I've had some aviation experience.
I recently joined MUFON, and hope to do much more reading and research into UFO's in the very near future. I retire from the fed govt at the end of this month, and hope to devote more time to this subject.
Anyway, I look forward to reading the posts in this forum, and hope to contribute, too.
Mike

Hello All,
Good to be here. I have questions, I have ideas, I have methods, and I have a plan of action to get some answers. BUT I need science-oriented people just like anyone else to help. MUFON looks as though science is very important to them too so I must be in the right place! Feels like home.
Welcome everybody.

Hello group, My name is Justin and I discovered MUFON only recently per recommendation of friend on Facebook. I've been a believer in UFOs since early 1960s. In central VT, my father in the 1950s and 1960s gathered a number of field reports from VT and NH state police. I read many of these. My father had been earlier convinced by his best friend, a Colonel John Verdi, who flew combat missions in the Korean War and who had first-hand experience chasing UFOs in the sky. I then was given a very credible first-hand account from my brother-in-law who had seen a craft very close up in Guatemala in the 1970s, in a daylight sighting involving many from his village, where a slow-moving, silent, cylindrical craft caused electrical failure in a field tractor as it passed overhead. I am a Ph.D. scientist from Scripps Oceanography, and Dr. Sally Ride was my postdoctoral supervisor at the CA Space Institute in 1990-91, where I was working on satellite remote sensing data analysis. Over the years, I've been attentive to particular incidents that have very strong evidentiary quality: multiple highly qualified observers, radar observations, and long duration of contact. The video from the Mexican drug interdiction crew is powerful, as is the air force tracking of craft over Louisiana. I also don't think Astronaut Mitchell is telling fibs. Looking forward to learning more from the group! Regards, Justin Lancaster

Hey All, My name is Joey Farrell and I joined MUFON last year. I live in Boston. I have had many UFO sightings over the years and it started when I was 8, whenever I see an UFO its always the same looking one. I reported it in 2011 although the first time was in 2001, the last one was about 2 months ago. I am interested in becoming a FI and I will be hopefully going through that process soon.

H. My name is Lynne. I've been a member of MUFON for 30 yrs! I lived in NH most of that time and have recently moved to Maine. I'm looking for MUFON people interested in getting together to chat about the latest info going around. I've been away from MUFON for a few years but still getting the journals. As a matter of fact, I have all the journals since 1990 with the exception of the last 2 yrs which I've been getting online. If anyone is interested in having these journals let me know on this msg board. I will also be contacting MUFON hq about these journals. Is Steve Fermani still the director for NH and ME? Love to hear from anyone. Thanks.
